Well, I have booked 4 x PE Seats on Qantas SYD to LAX same flight and 4 x CX J for the return from New York same flight.
Qantas was showing 4 J seats EWR - SYD on CX. I was able to book 2 x J seats using QFF points and 2 x J seats using Alaska points all on the same flight.
EDIT : 4 x J on CX was bugger all taxes as well... Same cant be said for the QF charges to LAX
