Just wondering if anyone else has noticed airfares seem to have gone up for 2013. The usual SIN-SYD route on QANTAS econ seems to be up $100-200 (generally from Jan to April). Wonder if it's a summer thing or if that's the next way things are. I was about to say it's probably because they decided to test just how much more Aussies love paying for their airfares (or anything else), but it seems to be the same when booking return out of SIN.

With the current QF Intl "profit", it doesn't surprise me to see them bump up fares. This has been happening for quite a while - just look at domestic fares which tend to go up $10/year and sometimes more.
(Note that I am not saying that airfares are expensive compared to 20 years ago - they aren't. However, airlines are trying to increase prices where they can)
