Hi Guys,

After hotel suggestions for 2 weeks at the end of March start of April in 2014 because of the length of time we arent looking the most $ive hotel but we don't want to stay in squalor either.

Any suggestions of things to do would also be helpful.

Hard place to find cheap accomodation, suggest you use a consolidator site (hotelscombined, trivago etc) to find cheapish places with good reviews. We previously used V Hotel Lavendar, good price for S/Pore but still a nice hotel with good reviews. Note: all hotels in Singapore have tiny rooms so dont take too much notice of reviews which complain about the size of the room, that will happen in virtually all hotels.

Thanks Burmans,

And from what I can see it doesn't matter that much on location as long as it close to MRT we will be able to get anywhere...

Maybe for two weeks an apartment might be the go. Maybe airbnb.com?

Yes MRT is fabulous, where we stayed in Lavendar it was right above the MRT with a hawker market downstairs too. airbnb is definitely an option though don't seem that cheap.

Could you be a little more specific with costs and hotel quality?

The Royal plaza on Scott's is a nice balance of the two, but may still be too pricey or not quite at the level you want.

There's such a spectrum of tastes on here that a /night or total cost approx would be great. I'd go the Conrad for instance, but would splurge for the Fullerton. While some would see the Conrad as way above what they would even consider for a splurge!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks for your help guys, I'm still looking but hoping to find somewhere soon...

Do you have to be in Singapore, if you don't mind the commute Malaysia or Bintan offer cheap accommodation with good transport links.

Unless there is a need to be in Singapore for entire two weeks, I'd think of going somewhere else for a week as it's close and usually cheap to get to anywhere within three hours flying time.
