2 J Returns to CNS at Easter for 101k pts

Fancied going away at Easter so was seeing where there was availability from BNE or MCY

Spotted a J flight for 56k each. Wouldn't normally bother with J as only 2 hrs and will requalify with Plat without this trip but is that a good use of pts?

theres an option for economy out but it's via TVS and only saves 10k each and takes twice as long

Lastly is end March/start April an ok time to go? We were gonna fly into CNs thurs night, then drive to Port Douglas Fri am

If you are going to re-qualify for Plat without these flights I wouldn't bother I would either try and get an upgrade with points or save your points for a better upgrade... IMO

It's cheaper than what QF have on offer. April to September is traditionally regarded as the winter period. You can almost disregard tradition given the latest weather events in QLD.

Whether the wethers hide for the weather is neither here nor there. I love nth Qld just about always. CNS and Pt Douglas has a lot to offer and the only real downside to inclement weather would be visibility on the reef and choppy seas on the way out. If that's the case, come back some other time. My +1 and I are heading up there on Saturday on a J reward (21000 each way each + some loose coin) and it's been pouring down for a while now in SEQ. We're not worried at all, as there's plenty to see and do regardless.
