15% off Krisflyer Miles when booking via the phone ?

Hello AFF members,

I am about to redeem a MEL-LHR return J saver flight, departing in May.
I will have to book it via the call centre instead of online, since i want an additional stopover in SIN for an extra USD$100.

Can you always get the 15% discount of Krisflyer Miles when booking via the phone ?
Anyone had problems getting the discount ?

You should be able to get the 15% discount as you cannot book the stopover online. But remember to ask when doing the booking to make sure you get it.

Following up on LadyC's reply to just make it crystal clear for other future readers:

No not always, BUT if you cannot make the booking online then they will normally apply the 15%.

Apart from stopovers I have for example gained the 15% when the online system was down.

Since the Service Fee for "change of date" is zero, I would have though the other option is to book, then ring up to say you were unable to book the stopover only and can they change date for the last sector?
