Not bad if you don't have access to the EL benefits via Diamond status, although brekkie is only continental in the EL (not full hot brekkie at Salt).

Enjoy a luxury stay at the 5-star Hilton Surfers Paradise for just $149 per night in a Hilton Executive Room, saving up to 55% off the regular price. This offer includes access to the Executive Lounge with continental breakfast, sunset drinks and antipasto, plus complimentary Internet and free parking.
Hilton Surfers Paradise is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, adjacent to Cavill Mall and only a short walk from the beach. The hotel offers easy access to the various dining, drinking and shopping options of Surfers Paradise, plus the multiple theme parks in the surrounding area, including Sea World and Wet'n'Wild.
It features a number of high-end restaurants and bars, including chef-hatted Salt grill by Luke Mangan, the luxury day spa eforea: Spa at Hilton, four swimming pools, a pool bar, sauna and outdoor terrace.
Hilton Executive Rooms include terrific Gold Coast views, an LCD TV, iPod docking station and a king size Hilton Serenity bed.
Valid for stays from Sunday to Friday until 20 December. A $60 surcharge applies for Saturday nights.
Book by 8 July.
Blackout dates: 9 August; 3-4 September; 25-26 October; 15-29 November

Hmm I am a HH gold member, if I was to make this booking will I get breakfast at Salt?

The days I am staying at HSP will be $159/night, prepaid rate...

Not sure if I should go for the prepaid rate or this offer that you have posted???

Its bookable on the Hilton website using group code GTZEA

Saturday Night Surcharge sucks.

Thanks Markis. The free parking looks tempting as I will be having a rental car for 4-5 days. But will my HH Gold allow me to have breakfast at Salt instead of Exec lounge?

Nice rate. I'm very tempted to go down one Friday night...

I'm assuming this counts as a stay/night with full points awarded? And I wonder if we'll get our upgrades if available ;)

I'd say no.

Even diamond aren't by definition guaranteed a cooked breakie in a restaaurant. HSP have always offered me that, but they aren't obliged to do so. Having said that, they may certainly offer it to you, but there are no guarantees. At least with this rate you definitely get lounge access and save $15/day in parking!

My next question is , is the breakfast at the lounge good? And do they accommodate 2.5 year olds?? :)

Yes to 2.5 year old, but I can't comment on the lounge breakfast as we've always taken breakfast in Salt.

Thanks for the code Markis. I think I will use it and book from Sunday onwards for 5 nights. Do you think they will allow a HH Gold member to have breakfast at the restaurant even with this booking via their website? I called up and they had no idea...

I have no idea, I am impressed they answered the phone, didnt last time I rang!

Hi Guys,

What would you do?

I have confirmed with HSP that with the $149 rate from travelzoo, which includes a King exec room, lounge access, free carpark. I have checked and I can have continental breakfast at Salt grill since I'm HH gold but I won't earn any HH points with this booking. Should I go for this on a 5 night stay or just pay the regular rate? I think I can get it for $159/$169 without travelzoo offer but of course no free carpark and exec lounge unless I get upgraded, and I will get points with this booking...

Tough call, suppose it depends on wether you need the points/stays to maintain gold or go up to diamond

Why would you not earn points if its booked through Hilton.com?
