Well, there was something that interested me on Happy Hour this arvo. Syd to Perth, and return, for $159 each way. Never been to Perth, so decided to take Hubbie over for a weekend. I have a 2 nights for 1 certificate for one of the nicer hotel chains, so should be pretty nice! And 80 credits between the two of us! This is all a bit addictive, though, isn't it? I'll be looking out for deals to other places that I've been meaning to get to but just haven't.

Yep. its addictive....I have to keep myself from looking at the happy hour deals to push thru to platinum..i shall have to wait till October to hit that...the waiting is killing me.....

If any newby/newbie is looking or lurking, always try to go for Saver fares, and not Saver Lite.
Yes, Saver Lite is cheaper, but Saver fares tend to be about $20/$25/$50 more, (yes, I do realise its good money tossed to VA's advantage), but if your aim is to earn SC rather than Velocity points (VFF mileage), pay to fly Saver.
You earn twice the SC of Saver Lite fares.
The next jump to Flexi is too much though.

If any person is new to the program I suggest you ignore the above info, there is no difference between saver lite and saver for either pints or status credits, both fall into the discount economy section. Full economy is flexi.

Saver light is just that, a saver fare that's lighter because baggage is not included.
