just got Friday fare frenzy email from JQ

Have heard of ... if you can't sell it, give it away, BUT surely this is a typo ?

It's a 'club jetstar' price. membership of which comes with an annual fee. So that would offset the 'free' ticket.

Zero dollar fares are not uncommon, sometimes sold as part of a return, sometimes on their own (with the passenger paying fees taxes and charges).

Dunno how the passenger can pay the taxes fees and charges in this case though as Aussie consumer law doesn't allow component or drip pricing. Maybe the fares aren't available one way.

must be a typo. Club is only $49 per year.
