    Aviation museums

Visited IWM Duxford 5 weeks ago. Awesome museum, but I had sore feet from walking around Europe for previous 3 weeks, so I couldn't stand still to appreciate many of the exhibitions. Still had great time though. Huge number of Spitfires both static and flying throughout the day. Not the easiest...

What's your idea of the worst possible nightmare commercial flight?

I had this situation on SYD - DOH on Qatar, except aisle seat at back of plane backing onto toilet. Limited recline too. Worse would be me in middle seat economy sandwiched between two very large people long haul Australia to Europe.

What's the most obscure airport you've visited?

Not real obscure, but Mulu Airport in Malaysian Borneo.

    Are Jetstar really that bad??

First time flying Jetstar. Flew MEL to SGN in Nov 2022. A) Flight delayed 24 Hours after arrival at airport. They did put us is nice hotel for the night though. B) Absulotely the most uncomfortable economy seats ever flown in. Newish 787 too. Actually actively uncomfortable. Side bolsters...

Will Qantas have a March 2023 double status credit promotion?

Or 30-50% discount on QFF redemption for International? They just had 30% off domestic, of which I partook of two return flights to Melbourne for my wife and daughter next month to watch '& Juliet'. Noting they would have to almost have the discount second half of 2023 to find decent amount...

Cheap flights coming? - China’s back

Can't believe any country on earth can justify outdoor facemasks, and their citizens put up with it. HK is loony tunes. Couldn't pay me to go there if I had to wear a face mask outside.

Jetstar 787 economy seats are actually painful

I flew Jetstar 787 economy Melbourne to Saigon & back last week. I have been on a number of flights in my life, and 95% of them economy. All previous seats acceptable in terms of economy seating. Jetstar 787 economy seats are actively painful to sit on, starting a few minutes into the 8 hours...

USA Attestation Forms + 4YO Not Vaccinated

My son turns 5 early next year and the absolute last thing I would ever do is give a vaccine to a healthy little boy. Vaccines are needed for older ones (say 60+ but really the elderly), not fit young people. NOTE - I am approaching 50 and triple vaxxed.

    2022 F1 Thread

Would have to take immense levels of Bravery/Stupidity to go to the 'planned' 16th April 2023 Chinese GP in Shanghai. Don't trust Xi in the slightest. Imagine all the well heeled crowd going there (probably still in facemasks with PCR on entry) only to be sent to a COVID quarantine warehouse...

Australian Reports of the Virus Spread

How about I hate them to the degree if I had an all expenses paid fortnight holiday to xx_X country whereby they had an indoor and outdoor mask wearing policy I would rather stay at work. May consider going if only indoor mask mandate and I would ensure 99% of the time outdoors.

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

NO MORE FACE NAPPIES AT CHANGI NOR SINGAPORE AIRLINES TO AND FROM UK. So happy with this as flying SIN to LHR in 3 weeks, 8 hours transit at Changi there, and 26 hours transit at Changi on the way back (staying airside the whole time - have 24 hour stay at Aerotel so just staying at Changi. Was...
