    Thanks for all the replies! I think the problem is that I am essentially only looking at round world redemptions (I've been convinced they're the best use of points! If you have other favourites let me know :) ), which in Australia pretty much limits you to Qantas and Velocity->KrisFlyer...

    That's true, but I'm thinking with flexible vs straight up Qantas. There are some more fees to pay with Qantas flights, but it still seems like a better deal to me. Guess depends a bit on what you are doing with them.

    I've read a lot of articles about how good flexible points systems are, but since you lose ~50% of your points when transferring to an airline rewards program, are they actually any good? They seem like a terrible use of points to me but maybe I'm missing something..

    New point collector here.. Have been organising a wedding (mine) so have had lots of opportunities to burn and churn through cards! In past 9 months me and fiancee have gone throne 7 cards and racked up almost 700k points. 480k are reserved for our round world honeymoon trip :D

    Hi all, I've been doing this for ~9 months now and have gotten almost 700k points :D. Planning on using it for two round world business trips with fiancee for our honeymoon! Then keeping the rest to do it all again in 2 years time ;)
