Phone was in lost property all along. It was just near-impossible to reach them and have it returned. Ended up having to contact baggage services to get some assistance, and also make a complaint and involve the ACA before anyone actually helped me. Thankfully I was able to get it returned!

I left my phone on a Qantas plane 3 days ago and still haven't heard back. I've left a message with the Sydney lost property dept but they haven't gotten back to me. Just wondering if anyone else has had an item returned after this long? I guess it's probably a busy time for them. I really hope...
