Each to their own but if you are so far from Platinum you’re probably not doing a lot of flying? Are you going to get the benefit one WP? Use your money to bid to upgrade or pay for J fares woul be a better option if it were me.

Jut waited 3 weeks for status and points to clear. Posted missing points claim after 2 weeks. It one of the only thing that really bother me about VA - its not that hard to credit almost instantly.

3 months last year. J class to Hawaii helped with that and was then able to gift SG within 9 months. This year I will retail WP in 5 months all on domestic flight. Would ne great if VFF would provide LTG status to keep us earning throughout the year.

I managed to get an upgrade comp upgrade cert. out of HBA the other day on an elivate fare. I was happy to do it on points but they insisted i use an upgrade cert. as I still had some left. I pointed out that I was on an elivate fare not a freedom but it didn't seem to bother them?
