I agree. There is no establishment fee though - so that's something. The variable rate is 5.18, so while it is higher than other lenders, the high qantas points may offset the payments.

There's a similar post, but this one has a bonus 60,000 points when opening. 150 Qantas points per $1000 per annum + other benefits. Going by my back of the envelope calculations, for a $300,000 loan, in the first year you'd receive: 60,000 points for signing on 45,000 year 1 = 105,000...

I applied for this card after being rejected for the Jetstar card (not due to my finances, but to the lending criteria?). Bonus is that I think it covers me for travel insurance - as soon as I get back from my trip it's being cancelled.

Morning all. I'm looking at getting more out of the flying I do - I tend to fly to the US once a year or so, but thought I should use my flights and put them to good use! Hope for good advice and better seats in the future!
