I'm suspecting the same thing, but she assured me that if I get charged an annual fee to call her back and it'll be resolved. Assuming calls do get recorded, she intended to call me back tomorrow (as she wanted to follow up) and I'll get this in writing as I need to confirm the card's ETA too...

I had to wait on the phone for around 10 mins when I requested to retain the same annual fee (being nothing) as she needed to check with the team. I'm not much of a big spender, I usually put most of my spend on my Amex Platinum Charge, but I've taken advantage of a few BTs and spent at most...

Just moving to Prestige now after upgrading from my Signature card. Was able to carry the annual fee (free for life) over to it as well and the process was fairly simple to do over the phone. Only problem now is getting the card in time of my direct debits haha

I happen to still have my Green and Platinum Charge Cards, each with Platinum Edge and Reserve as companions respectively. For $80p.a, the Green Charge + Plat Edge was certainly a smart move to keep.

Did the points history just say bonus points? How did you sign up your Edge card?

Hmm, that's interesting, but I'm not sure if it will impact APAC's AccorPlus benefit too. I guess we can call in and check, but glad HHonors Gold is back (at least in UK, hopefully APAC soon though)

The Accor Plus benefit is a bit sucky for only Asia-Pacific, plus also paying extra for some rooms, but stack this on top of the Platinum Reserve's free flight and you have yourself a nice weekend away around Australia. I'm contemplating cancelling my card, but one other thing to keep in mind...

Mind blown. I'd be more satisfied with my watches instead.

Re: Amex "I'm going to cancel my card" bonus given thread. Been a member since for a number of years now, had this particular card for the first year and used all the benefits (PP, Platinum Reserve, Accor, travel credit, etc). Would that be a better case than not using the benefits at all?

Maybe grab the 2015 benefits and then we can edit accordingly? Possibly confirm with Centurion members as we go along. I'd love to confirm them, but I haven't got an invite yet ;)

Could we just list the benefits on the first page and edit it throughout the year? Seems awfully tedious to follow the thread for bits and pieces.
