    Apple Airtags

I used an AirTag recently on a trip AKL-ADL-DOH-LHR, and it was very reassuring to be able to see the luggage near the plane before take off, and at the arrival airport after landing (did sometimes take about 10m to update). Very useful to see in LHR where the bag was. The luggage belt actually...

    Made any travel mistakes lately?

Booked two one ways between MAA and IXB on different airlines for our family (because it was cheaper that way). Discovered a week later that I'd booked them both as MAA -> IXB. Had to pretty much give up the value of the ticket to change it. Then we had to cancel the whole trip to India anyway...

All good, the original question was answered in the first reply.

Consensus on points compo for failed IFE

Had no IFE for an Sydney -> Auckland flight. They restarted it like 5 times during the flight. Just got an email from Qantas apologising and offering an opportunity for me to provide feedback. I have to wonder what the point of the email was - all it does is remind me that there was a problem...

    QF6 Cancelled 9/18 times.

Look at FlightRader24, QF6 (SIN->SYD) has been cancelled 9 out of the last 18 times. Flightradar24.com - Live flight tracker! That seems pretty shocking to me, what's going on here? Does anyone have any experience with these cancelled flights.

EU Compensation for overnight delayed flight.

I'm kind of over it though. Despite what I think I'm entitled to, the 600 Euros covers my additional costs, with some extra compensation for getting home later. So I might just accept that.

EU Compensation for overnight delayed flight.

This is qantas's reply Article 12 states: I don't really see how this applies. I am asking for reimbursement of my costs, plus compensation.

EU Compensation for overnight delayed flight.

#1 - No, they did not give us a copy of our rights or have notices. However we did check in to a completely different flight, rather than the same flight delayed. #2 - Yes, the original delay moved the flight from ~8:30pm to ~8:30am the next day. So accommodation was needed and offered. #3 - My...

EU Compensation for overnight delayed flight.

Well they suggested to me that I organise my hotel and they would reimburse me, I didn't do it on my own. I guess my options are to ask for both and when they deny it, decide if missing out of $500 is worth getting the 600 Euros now and not going through a complaint process.

EU Compensation for overnight delayed flight.

Hi Everyone, A month ago I was on a delayed QF2 flight from LHR to SYD. Originally it was delayed 12 hours, but I opted to reschedule for the QF2 that was scheduled to depart one day later than my original flight (and which left on time). Qantas said they would cover accommodation, food and...

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Hotel prices were reasonable. I stayed in the Kensington Doubletree for £155. Which is pretty close to $250. Hotel car will be a bit expensive at £50 but shared with my colleague I think Qantas are getting off lightly if that's all they pay. Let's see. I'm pretty happy with the extra day in...

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

I was scheduled to be on the 3/3 QF2 that was delayed roughly 12 hours (should be in the air now). Qantas contacted me roughly 24 hours before the scheduled time. I'm travelling to AKL and they offered some really terrible connections. LHR->Syd->MEL->AKL With the last flight being a horrible...

For those who have been comped status

Re: Many people being comped status recently? How do you know when the comp happens? My year ended 29 Feb, and I didn't even reach half the points needed to get gold (first year gold). But my page (now on 1st March) still shows gold and now with expiry Feb 2017. Have I been comp'ed, or should I...

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Flight QF163 (AKL-WLG) was cancelled on the 10 September due to a mechanical issue. AFAIK a broken pipe in the brake system. After boarding (at scheduled take off time) passengers were told of the problem. We were promised an update in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later we were told a replacement...

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Re: General Qantas Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion QF401 Sydney to Melbourne, turned back today due to suspected fuel leak. Sitting on plane at the gate while they figure out what to do. Started offloading people who don't want to go to Melbourne anymore.

    Qantas Interline bags to Singapore

Yeah, one booking would have been ideal, but the BOM trip was tacked onto the Singapore trip, so didn't work out that way. Couldn't get Qantas to sell me a flight for SIN to BOM, so went with SQ to get the VA status credits (and would rather fly them than Jet). Yeah it's made it a bit more...

    Qantas Interline bags to Singapore

Good to know. Sitting in second row (of Y) so hopefully will be quick out. Every other time I've always had to wait a while at the baggage collection, so hopefully should be no problem.

    Qantas Interline bags to Singapore

Really? They'll pick the bags up from the carousel, or do they intercept them before they get that far?? That would be awesome.

    Qantas Interline bags to Singapore

Hi All, I have a couple of upcoming bookings. First one on QF. SYD -> BNE-> SIN, arriving at 4pm. Then on SQ SIN -> BOM leaving at 6:55pm. Is there any chance at all the on checkin in Sydney they will be able to check my bags all the way through to Mumbai? Bookings are completely separate...
