going to downgrade my AMEX platinum, don't see the value anymore. Is QFF the only transfer partner I lose? I'd say QFF is probably the worst value transfer these days anyway...
This is all I see, maybe because I already have the Premier card? Thinking of adding the Prestige, seems I'll still get the sign up bonus from what I've read? Prestige is only worth it for me if I can transfer to Qatar
Yes, seems the QF flight might not be credited anywhere?
I was hoping QF flight = earn QFF
2x TK flights = earn Krisflyer
However, all on the one ticket, perhaps I use my KF number and then claim the QF flight post trip?
I'm looking at booking one, the itin says Business Flex D-D-D so assuming all three legs are in business.
Possible to get the QFF points for the QF leg and the remaining legs to Krisflyer?
At least you can spend your points with good availability on SQ and QR. Qantas is non-existent. I used to find it fairly easy to get 2+ seats in J, now its near impossible even using Seats Aero to find anything worthwhile, these 'carrier charges' are getting obscene
Looking at booking a value J ticket ex KUL (booking code is 'Z' i believe)
Will I still earn Velocity points or should I consider an alternative FF program that would earn more?
Looks like Air Canada (Aeroplan @ 125%) or American (AAdvantage @ 130%) might be good options Where to Credit |...
I can i say is I called them, I'm pretty sure I got the offer as soon as it was available. The bonus points took the longest ive ever waited AFTER min spend. Pretty sure its 90 days regardless of how quick you meet the spend. Best of luck
Bad value, yes thats one way of putting it
2.5x the points and 10x the fees, poor Qantas :(
Where exactly is the good value with redeeming QFF points these days?
Left out the ++
You get the point, this seems extreme. Looking a similar flights with Alaskan Mileage Plan, fees and taxes reflective of those charged on AA.
So poor Qantas gets shafted by JAL? Unlikely...
Another example of Qantas taking the p!ss?
AAdvantage
QFF
Same flight, same plane, same date
AA fees & taxes USD$27.60
Qantas fees & taxes USD$236.20
Explain how Qantas can be USD$200+ more per passenger for the exact same flight?
I've been avoiding them for years. A happy Krisflyer, Alaskan Mileage Plan and AAdvantage user. I've got over 600k QFF that I'd like to use at some point! As mentioned many times previously, Qantas is by far the worst for searching and booking award travel
Happy to eat my words, the awards on AA are phantom.
Qantas is still a garbage national airline that has been in a very steep decline for sometime now. Their points are by far the worst out of all I have.
1705232500
lol! yes Royal Jordanian, and even they are superior to Qantas!
One shouldn't have to "be in the know" in order to not get fleeced. Points to pay should be an option when searching for a cash fare, completely misleading consumers when you click "Use Points" and are shown cash fares that you can pay with your points (at an exorbitant rate).
Why do you think...
