Double Status Credits (book by 5/2/18, fly 12/2/18 to 20/1/19)

Yes, this was on Monday. It's almost like a government owned website, works great up to the point a customer wants to pay.

Double Status Credits (book by 5/2/18, fly 12/2/18 to 20/1/19)

Well what a bust that was! I spent over two hours on the Qantas website trying to book and every time on the final page there was an error message that I had to start again. I wanted to book about 8 flights including a multi-city one so initially I thought it was the complexity of the latter...

Can't login to QFF account - 8 June

I've not been able to log into Qantas business direct the past three days. Tried two different browsers, not sure what is up.

QF domestic - luggage booked to stopover point only?

OK I rang Qantas (and waited 45 minutes) seems there isn't a policy against booking luggage one leg at a time provided there is adequate time to collect and return for the next leg. So all good it seems.

QF domestic - luggage booked to stopover point only?

.... which is legal, or not? What if I have a few hours and would like my bag, have you tried this Hvr?

QF domestic - luggage booked to stopover point only?

Will Qantas check bags through to the first stop only on a two leg domestic flight? Or do they always insist on checking bags right through to final destination? I tried to call them to ask but message says it's more than a one hour wait on the phone at the moment. Thanks for any advice if...

    Diners-ropey start

I find I need to track the points earn every month. Most times are spot on but occasionally there is a glitch when you get fewer points. In the past six months I've had this happen twice & lost about 4500 points. I've tried a couple of times to reason with them on the phone (there is no email...

Places you would, or wouldn't go back to?

The scenery is important but for the most part to me it's about the local people. Try to avoid countries where the local religious custom includes a desire to if possible chop your head off, so most of the Middle East and parts of Asia and Africa I'll avoid.... this extends to airlines like QF...

Alternative online booking engine for QF.... more flight availability?

Yes I was trying to book the 'saver' class but multi-city only offers 'sale' and 'flex', which is a bit frustrating and also does not make economic sense for Qantas either. But it is sorted now - thanks folks! I did the booking online then called Qantas and they changed the final leg to the...

Alternative online booking engine for QF.... more flight availability?

Yes multi-city helps in that is does offer some additional flights... but does not appear to allow me to select the all various classes - only 'flex' or 'sale' seem available.

Alternative online booking engine for QF.... more flight availability?

Trying to book a return international flight with a domestic connecting flight at the Qantas website but getting limited options for the domestic leg... wanted to grab a few extra hours in the connecting city on the return flight so I'd like a flight later in the day. My question is how to get a...

    Diners-ropey start

Possibly just the terminal. At Stratco Hardware near home I can use DC at one checkout and not the next one along.

    Diners-ropey start

I've been getting on OK recently, the points are posting correctly etc. My Citi MC was hacked just a couple of days before I was to fly O/S - they immediately picked up the problem and blocked the card, would have been helpful if they had informed my by SMS or email.... suddenly the card...

    Diners-ropey start

Hmm... that's good info. I also had a rough start with Citi - hassles with points not posting, card declined for no apparent reason at times etc. But the past year or so has been no problem, I keep a running monthly total of what the points should be and what I receive and they have been...

    Diners-ropey start

I wouldn't panic yet - the point is the message from DC is confused on this. I have a charge card and one sales member told me I wouldn't get reward points if I pre-paid, another said I would but they might post later. It would be great if you could let us know how you go Johnstone, hopefully...

    Diners-ropey start

They updated their rewards website but now I can't seem to find SPG? Was quite worried (have quite a lot of points built up and only transfer to SPG) so I called them and after a lot of back and forth finally they found SPG and I was able to transfer via phone. Hopefully it works OK. Albyd -...

Booking AA award flight from AU?

Thanks Anna, I think the problem I had last time was I needed to extract points from two or three accounts (family booking, all flying but others have their own AA accounts) so I presume I would still need to call either the Australian or the US office to do this?

Booking AA award flight from AU?

Hey folks just hoping to get some up-to-date info on the best way to book an AA award flight out of Australia (specifically MEL to BKK on QF metal)? It's been a few years since I did this, last time was by phone through the local number (Fiji office?) which was quite an unpleasant experience - a...

    Diners - Jumping on bandwagon

Yes: 1) very fine trigger on fraud alert, means they can and will block your card anytime without notice and it takes quite some time on the phone to get it rectified (e.g. took me 40 minutes to unlock my card - locked during a purchase at Coles Supermarket). Always carry another backup card...
