Slightly OT but from a colleague with connections at UA, apparently their AU flights are struggling… which reflects some of the commentary in this thread on many planes going out less than half full. I wonder if this means UA service cut backs are on the horizon too.

Does velocity have a points calculator? Trying to work out if I can be bothered doing VA codeshares to EU in J, but trying to work out how many points / status credits I will earn doesn’t appear to be simple…

Would hard blocked show as a block on EF or occupied out of interest? Looking at my first flight, looks like all F seats are ‘occupied’ sadly…. Won’t bother going to airport T-3 hours if they’ve already been allocated to diamonds…..

Hopefully they are similar to the new QF A220 fleet which I find really comfortable (for Y). The new VA737 seats I find very very hard and on a slightly odd angle for me. I haven’t flown NZ Y for a very long time so couldn’t compare!

Don’t suppose you’ve ever tried calling ahead of OLCI to beg? :) I try to minimise time at airports… but might have to break that rule if can’t use OLCI!

Hi there Flying shortly on some CX 777 flights in paid J as a OWE (QF WP). F seating is on the flights but not selling F, so they are blocked off for now for J seating later. I saw on some blogs that you can request these seats as a OWE at physical Cathay check in at airport? Does anybody...
