As long as your ticket books into Y or KLVM you get points and SCs, have done it myself and received SCs and points. Also you can check your fare type by looking at the fare rules before payment.

Flew on Feb 21, claimed missing points on the QF website 2 weeks after that, got the points and SCs two days after that.

Wasn't aware that Qantas flew to Tanzania, let alone from Adelaide ;)
