$195 was the standard lead in price, not the sale price. Sale pricing is normally approx $159 ish. But there were $129 fares (which I also snapped up) for next year.

I notice today flights from Perth - Sydney have a lead in price of $215 Yesterday it was $195, so the price has gone up $20 overnight. Melbourne is also $215, I think the lead in price was $195 also.

I had to cancel a flight and now have a credit towards future flights. With the credit new flight(s) must be booked through Guest Services. Does anyone know what the premium / fee is for booking over the phone is as opposed to booking online? .... Or is the same as the Internet fares as this...

I prefer Virgin Australia. Though price is always a key factor I promised myself years ago I would never fly QF due to continual issues I had with them .... But I still fly with them. I recently flew Jetsar and nicknamed them "Bogan Airways Australia" and said I would never fly Jetstar again...

Saw this plane on Thursday in Perth. It's in Virgin Australia colours, but has a Virgin Blue (red) nose cone on it. Looks very funny, was gonna take a pic but was too slow and then parked behind the bridge.

The plane truth (my jokes are bad!) is to check all information prior to booking. I must admit I have gone to the website, and checked flights and thought the website had faulted as I couldn't select a return leg. It took me a day to notice it had preselected 2013 instead of 2012.

With the relaunch of Fly Buy's I'm a tad surprised not to see Velocity listed as a partner (or well yet) With Woolies in the Qantas camp, I would have expected Fly Buy's to go in with Velocity. Time to will tell.....

With Virgin, it is possible to print to PDF or however you choose.... Then open up the PDF or image on your mobile device IE iPhone and then they can scan the barcode from here? There's nothing technically preventing this, but wonder if there is a policy around it.

I question how happy Virgin are with the "pre-loved" Emirates a330's. Unsure how committed they are to them now and I believe 2 more from Emirates are planned for this year. So it will be interesting to see what they do. One option is that they wont be aggressive as first thought and use them...
