Agreed. I've been looking at BA, Cathay, AA, Japan Airlines - no difference in status credit earning regardless of which OW airline you are flying.

Just interested in a consensus of opinion here. To me the JetStar business max offering is absolutely rubbish - you pay usually many hundreds of dollars to get QC access (which many people will have as gold or platinum members) and FF points. And I'm certainly not paying for a business class...

I only offered to upgrade one way and put in $700 - I got the premium economy flights on special at a great price, so for business class it's a pretty good deal I think.

I was very surprised to be upgraded - my offer was definately in the "poor chance of upgrade" on the indicator! It would just be the icing on the cake if I got business class status credits as well.

For me, the problem is that I now have to pay $900 extra for somthing that was included as standard a week ago on a flight to coughet and $400 extra for a flight to Sinagpore - you don't get anything extra for the increased price. I'm happy to pay extra to receive FFpoints and SC on JetStar...
