    Fuel top up con

Seems to be new scam by all rental car firms. Tried on in Kalamata, Greece by Europcar. Copenhagen had another trick on exchange rates by Avis.

Is Expedia the worst online travel agency to deal with?

Shouting is like using indiscriminate CAPITAL LETTERS. It gets their back up! But both work!

    Is QF Uncompetitive ?

BA are a bit blase too. Royal Brunei are the way to go to London. Great planes (787), great seats in Business, and no yuppies!

    Is QF Uncompetitive ?

And the rest! Up to $4K higher to London in Business Class. Safety not an issue. Qantas have been lucky. The runway overrun in Bangkok, and the engine failure on A380 were within "inches" of being major disasters. The cabin crew are arrogant, unionised into bludgers, and mostly time servers...

    Proof.......The Yowie does exist!

I still have nightmares about a horror flight from LA to Miami. American airlines have (had?) a policy that smaller planes have only First and Coach. When the original plane was changed to a smaller one, there was NO Business Class, and I was downgraded to a Coach Seat on the aisle which was...

Qantas Club Dress Standards...Stubbies, singlet and thongs....What the???

The confusion over "thongs" is important to note

Priority Checked Baggage - What a joke !

Baggage handlers are about as left wing as wharfies, and delight in making sure that "priority" means damage, destroy and delay. Protesting will only further delight and encourage them. An illustration. They obviously support the Communist regime in Vietnam with gusto. As Vietnam Airlines...

    pointless duty free

Australian airport and downtown duty free interests were all bought up by Hong Kong interests, and since then prices, particularly alcohol, have become too high. Best to buy on arrival in UK, etc. Although good malt whisky can be bought for similar prices in supermarkets there.

FAA may let you use electronic devices during takeoff and landing soon

If having a few phones turned during take-off or landing was a serious issue, the cabin crew would have been issued with a transmitter detector long before now. And any detection would result in an announcement "We are staying at 5000 feet/Not leaving the gate until all phones, etc are turned...

Weary traveller or just silly mistakes

I left my Bberry in a London cab at Victoria Station. The next passenger found it, and used the contacts list to call my office. I was staying out of London overnight before departing. The cab driver got the address and decided to go for "a drive in the country" in his Austin-Healey the next...

    Best Business Class?

Re: Best Business Class? Or Worst? Just experienced the Jetstar Business Class. Almost Cattle Class. Maybe prize cattle class, but definitely not Business. Very poor seats, closely spaced. Food ordinary, and videos only available via mobile sets - which no-one mentions until they are...

People coming past the curtain to use the dunny, especially row-4 platinums.

Row 4 or 24 - it is just arrogance. Pay the fare/use points, or b***** off. But do get the same socialist attitude in general from people who do not want anyone to pay extra, but think that they entitled to services they do not pay for. These people usually use handicapped parking spaces...

Qantas Frequent Flyer/Jetstar Any Seat Award Scam - 200,000 pts lost

It is all a scam. Tried to book a Business Class international fare to Europe. Usual impossible dates, but came up with an obscure routing to Paris. Small print revealed that only the leg London-Paris was in Business Class, with Melbourne-Singapore-London, and vice versa, in Economy - but...

Early Qantas flight from Hong Kong to London in July.

More civilised option is to stay at Airport hotel for last night - walk to check-in. Great restaurant food, and a view of the harbour

Qantas Club Dress Standards...Stubbies, singlet and thongs....What the???

Conditions of membership are contract terms. Grow up. Unfortunately some don't read anything, and others are made members by inept companies, or become so because of their travel frequency. Why not have an option on joining of opting for the "dags" section (a free beer voucher or two should...
