Mobile Internet in Asia and Europe

Hi I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on getting Internet access in Asia (eg Hong Kong) and Europe (Greece and Turkey)? In the past I used various public wifi hot spots or if desperate- roaming. But I was wondering if there is anything like a prepaid data sim in those countries...

    Malaria Medication

:) That's Malarone. Don't get too put off by the side effects- they're extremely rare. And use this as a comparison- if anyone's ever read the leaflet for Panadol or Nurofen, no one would ever take it! Panadol is one of the potentially deadliest drugs known to mankind!

    Malaria Medication

Lol. I did take my doxy with lots of 333 beer... no, this is NOT official medical advice :)

    Malaria Medication

Hi I'm a doctor and I've personally taken anti-malarial medications (doxycycline). I'm pretty sure you should take them if you're going to India, but not every malaria-prone country is 100% malaria prone- it depends on which area you're travelling to. If you want to be sure, go to Destinations -...

Spa sessions for award flights in F?

Hi just wondering if anyone's ever gotten an award flight in Qantas F class? It's my first F flight so I really want to check out the lounge esp. the spa. How do I book a session? I read somewhere that they are meant to call you the day before but will they do that for award flights?

First time in F (QF 127)

It's a Friday flight- according to the Qantas website it's meant to be A380, but of course, being Qantas, this can change in a hurry!

I'll be flying with someone who only has a Y ticket... can I take them with me to the F check in counter?

First time in F (QF 127)

To be honest, I am a bit relieved that there's no degustation. Because if it's there, I'll be v. tempted to order it =) But even being a hat-counting, fine dining restaurant fan, I have never successfully completed a degustation + matching wines without feeling sick at the end!

First time in F (QF 127)

Hi all... I decided to cash in some of my QFF points for a SYD-HKG ticket, partly because the Qantas website said that QF127 is an A380 flight. Any advice? I usually fly J, so it'll be my first time in F. Most interested in the spa in the F lounge. Do I have to pre-book? If so, where do I call...

When is the tasting menu served on QF11?

Yes, agree completely. I have had the joys of flying around China, and for an inflight meal (admittedly in Y) I was served one single cold cucumber. The small, pickling variety. More than interesting, I'll say. Along with the surly, NESB service, it was a trip to remember.

Qantas flight operated by Cathay- which lounge do I get access to?

I booked a HKG-SYD J class flight via qantas.com but it's operated by Cathay (CX 101). In hong kong, which lounge do I get access to? And also, do I get to bring a guest?

7K to spend - what would you do?

In this age of Google and Tripadvisor, $3.5K per person excluding food and spending money is a HUGE amount if you spend sensibly (flying economy). We managed to take in Hanoi, Sapa + hill trek, Ha Long Bay (actually, Bai Tu Long Bay- just as beautiful, much quieter than Ha Long- with nary a...

Advice on best use of points

Agree that the only way to guarantee business seating is to pre-purchase, but even as a bronze off I've applied for 4 international segment upgrades with points after purchasing Y class tickets, and have successfully gotten every single one (SYD-MEL-HKG/HKG-SYD, SIN-SYD, SYD-HKG). All are...
