    Seat selection at T-80

Here I haven't seen double status offer - daughter and wife both NB did. Haven't seen 73h row 4 or 5 window or aisle at T80 since November - I think it's the lifetime status as none of the people in them are more than WP, but they are all longtime WP...haven't seen an op-up for a long time...

Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

That makes a lot of sense - maybe they upgraded you if you deferred a week? Can only hope they've upgraded us to J, to let some Y through into Y+ and not told us yet...we will see at t-24hrs I guess. Thanks for the reply. Regards, Dean

Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

Sun 6th Nov Syd LAX - no chance of PE-J? Just looked at flightstats and both QF107 & QF11 on Subday are full in J cabin- anyone know whats happening in LA that week that they have filled all J seats (& PE)? Medical Convention? I was hoping for upgrade (WP) PE to J on QF11 for SO & me, but this...

People coming past the curtain to use the dunny, especially row-4 platinums.

While I'm with the "Stay in Y when you're in Y" camp, don't WP's have an QF based expectation to use the Business class (or first class) lounge facilities when on the ground? In the lounge mixing with paid J (F) pax? I could see a case for the same applying in the air...mmm free full strength...

QF 580 Per Syd Nov 5 - changed to take 10 minutes longer?

No airplane changes and I checked every flight on the saturdays 30 Oct vs 5 Nov, and they were all 10 min longer. Yes the start time on QF580 came back 15 min and the arrival time 5 min. Not sure about the rest of the flights. Thanks for the resonses. Cheer, Deano

QF 580 Per Syd Nov 5 - changed to take 10 minutes longer?

Just got an update via email on my QF580 5 Nov Per-Syd, changed from 1120-1825 to 1105-1820. Not fussed, just curious as to why the extra 10 minutes, as previous Saturdays flight is still 4hr 5min+EDST, not 4hr 15min+EDST. Are they forcasting headwinds??? Volcanic ash? Does anyone know why? People coming past the curtain to use the dunny, especially row-4 platinums.

The irony is that as high status FF's up the front of a 738, we are now the furtherest away from the Lavatories assigned. Then there's what feels like "the walk of shame" past all the others to get there and back. So it doesn't seem like a benefit for status. It seems like it has only been the...

    Vindictive seat selection?

My regular QF DOM 738 flights always have some non-WP somehow use the CIS to get 4B/E to have the "Extra Legroom", "No Recliners in front" or "Get off the plane quicker". Yet often 5B/E thru 8B/E are empty, with WP's on the aisles and windows. I use 5A now for that reason, very good chance of...

    Building a stronger Qantas

Sorry if I have missed it, but I can't see a mention yet of QF107/QF108 LAX-JFK-LAX in all this - is it due to be killed off and be made AA?

Plane change from A380 to 747

This happened to us yesterday for a November QF11 Syd LAX - bitterly disapointed, had booked the Y+ Award at t-353 days specifically to fly the A388. I called the WP help desk and they arranged for us to go a day earlier on the A338 (and gives us bonus extra day stateside). I was expecting to...

    Seating Availability/Allocation/Configuration Help Desk

Re: Best A332 J seats on QF575 26/11?? Thanks for that, have changed to 4A&B, might try for 1A&B at T-80. We are actually coming back from LAX in Y+ the day before, so a skybed for the leg home is an unexpected treat/upgrade (late aircraft changes not withstanding). Dean

    Seating Availability/Allocation/Configuration Help Desk

Best A332 J seats on QF575 26/11?? Hi all, my first post.... I've just booked a pair of JASA on QF575 a330-200 Syd-Per for 26/11 and as a WP the Qantas OLCI seat choices are any seats rows 2 to 6. 36 seats in all 2+2+2, row 1 greyed out. However, it is showing knife & fork symbol in front of...
