OK I see now: it's a connecting leg from an international flight, so you can see book the whole flight in J. If you search for DFW-JFK only, you only get Y availability :(

I can see availability for DOH-SYD up to 360 days out in Oct '17, both in Y and F almost every day, but only a couple of days in J. I have no status. Does it mean that all J seats are already gone, or is there a chance they could be released later? Thanks!
