Just hit WP and figured out that took 73 flights to reach it - geez that's a grind and frankly wondering whether it's worth it. Purely been going up/down the eastern seaboard (MEL/ADL/CBR/SYD/BNE) plus another 20 non-SC earning flights on VA/JQ. Just about all work flights and don't really get...

Totally agree...as a young person i figure that in order to appreciate J to its fullest I need to 'suffer' some pretty crumby Y fares first. +imagine what the response would be at the youth hostel when you arrived having flown in J, lol

Hi All, My sister's flying SYD-DFW on June 1 (no QF status) in Y and was wondering what the best seats would be that she could get (she's prepared to pay the extra $20 to choose). The plane's a 747-400 but other than that I don't have any other info at the moment. Thanks in advance, Jeremy

You would think there would be more services than 5/day in a state where it's pretty difficult to get out any other way :lol: Do they have enough planes to cope with greater demand? Everytime I fly DJ they always seem to be arriving late which leads me to wonder whether they're stretching...

Thanks for the info Joshua; I do remember something about getting some bonus points on your first flight after joining up but that second lot of bonus points has got me wondering if it's possible to earn more.... Ah well, never look a gift horse in the mouth :lol:

Hi all, Just checking my activity statement for QFF and noticed that I had two lots of bonus points marked "FIRST FLIGHT EXTRA POINTS PROMOTION", one in Dec and one in Feb. I only joined QFF in Dec and have already done about a dozen domestic trips with them but haven't seen anything...

McLaren Vale? Close to MEL, Good eating and drinking and there are plenty of good little walks and cycling trails around. Also close to Victor Harbor and Kangaroo Island which have lots of little places to explore and good coastal scenery.

Hmmm.... may be the time to go and tick the Singapore Zoo off my to-do list :D

As I seem to read it, the cheapest flight in the sale is MEL-SIN for approx. $1000 return for 240SCs....not bad value

Ok, thanks Mal for that info. :) I may as well just book through the Q website then....though it would be good if you somehow knew what class fare you were booking when you booked through an airline website so you could get the cheapest 'economy' fare as compared to 'discount economy' fares...
