    Guests at the Qantas Club

Good evening all, from a long time lurker... My new employment doesn't allow me to travel as much as I'd like to, so upon slipping from SG to PS, I purchased a QP membership. (Whether a cup of coffee or an average wine per flight is worth the annual subscription fee is another question.) My...

Is this what QF flight attendants really think of us passengers?

I'm not a terribly frequent flyer, but I've never had any issues on QF, domestic or international... Flew Y+ earlier this year MEL-LHR return, and had simply the best FA on the way there... Very attentive. I generally find if you smile, use common manners, and don't treat the staff like your...

    Best way to maintain Gold

My situation has changed this year in terms of work, which results in little-to-no flying at all... I might do one international flight during the year, and SG status really helps in terms of lounge access, and all the other trappings... I'd like to maintain SG, however I'll probably only do...

Qantas International Business fares - just not in the game

Well for EK to offer a First Class cabin on the A380 SYD-LHR return for just under $13,000... then for QF to offer a J ticket for almost $10,000 return, is there really any comparison?

Qantas International Business fares - just not in the game

If I can fly another carrier in J for only a small amount more than QF PE, then I'm not sure why I'd bother... Being someone fairly new to flying internationally, and only having status with OW, this is part of the reason of flying QF: lounge access, etc etc... But with other carriers, since...

New QF Lounge wifi - email problems

I'm in SYD at the moment... Had the same problems with Microsoft Entourage (Optus POP3) ... After being connected for about 20 mins, it seems to have sorted itself out...

    Early Check-in LHR for QF10

I've checked in 4.5 hours before QF10 departed and I had no issues... It's always hard, I find, to check out of the hotel, even at 3 or 4pm with late checkout, to find something to do for a few hours before the flight at 10pm. I suppose I could find a nice pub somewhere, but hey, why pay for beer?

    Double Status Credits 2011

Apparently I qualified for this... Did a simple MEL-BNE Y journey earlier this week and on my account it's showing double SCs! I can't say I remember doing any survey or anything... This will be good for my HBA Express run next month which I luckily booked after 10th May... Lovely!

    Dear Mr Joyce...

Totally agree... Qantas needs to make people choose to fly with them. With the fall of Ansett and the boom of Virgin (especially since the new face-lift) Qantas needs to pick up its game to attract/keep customers. The only reason I'm flying Qantas is because Ansett collapsed, and because I...

Frequent Flyer points on rival airlines

Hello... bit of a n00b question here, but I just have to ask. If I booked a flight from MEL to FRA on LH and QF was providing the MEL-HKG leg, would I be able to claim QFF points for that? Or not, because I booked it through Lufthansa?

    Car hire in France

Thanks all for your help... I only need the car for one day as I'm visiting a client who has no train or bus access! Hiring over a few days looks alright, but just one day looks a bit steep. I'll try all your suggestions above and see what pops up!

    Car hire in France

Hello all... I'm used to hiring a car through any of the major companies here when I'm on business interstate. I'm used to getting a decent sized car (Commodore or similar) for anywhere between $80-120. Business further afield in France early next year - looking at car hire. For the same...
