according to the qantas website their A330-300 has a range of 7000km? I'm guessing then that it'll be a 747 because Auckland to LA is about 10500km.

Hi, I'm flying from Melbourne to LA (QF25 via Auckland) on Saturday and on the Qantas website it says the route is being operated by a 737-800. My understanding is that the aircraft doesn't have the range to fly from Auckland to LA (range of 737 about 7000km?). So what's the deal - is it a typo...
