    I'm over (most) lounges

Your story makes complete sense and is what I'd expect the point of LTG is. Congrats on reaching LTG without ever reaching Platinum. It's a rare story though as most of the comments on the LTG thread say that after achieving LTG they will a) move to BA (to collect another lifetime trophy) b)...

    I'm over (most) lounges

This sounds contradictory to me. A bit like saying you will stay with your partner but really wanting to be with someone else.

    I'm over (most) lounges

LTG is nothing more than a trophy. I don't think many AFF people want LTG for its benefits. I think that's why many are upset with the LTP criteria, not so much because they can't get Platinum benefits but more so because the LTP trophy is difficult to get.

    I'm over (most) lounges

Sounds like a case of travelling too much so the experience is getting repetitive and boring. Maybe trying new airlines and new lounges might make the experience fresh and new again?

Booking American Airlines bus 'flights' using QFF points

If there was a QF First lounge equivalent I think people would do it.

    Jetstar 'Interested in changing?' offer

I got caught out by this. I thought the change was only for 2 hours so I accepted their $110 offer. It was only afterwards that I realized it was for the next day! I quickly got on chat and asked for my old flight back. Lucky they let me get it back because flights on my original travel date...

    Jetstar launch Sydney-Hamilton (NZ)

Why won't Jetstar fly Wellington to SYD/MEL instead of experimenting on Hamilton? Jetstar already "competes" with Qantas on AKL/CHC/ZQN so I don't see how Wellington is any different

Buying Qantas top-up points with a bonus: Worth it?

It'll cost 260,200 points from August 5. Either way, if there are classic rewards available on your date of choice then that's great. It is not the case for the majority of people.

Would you fly at a less convenient time to get a nicer plane?

Ah, so it is about the seat, not the plane.

Would you fly at a less convenient time to get a nicer plane?

Forgive my ignorance but what exactly makes one plane nicer than another and how is it noticeable to an average flyer? I assume we're talking about the plane itself and not the seat. Edit: I read the question as being about only the plane itself but as it turns out people are also considering...

    Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Signing up in a different country works fine for new memberships and expired memberships but I am yet to read about a successful case of renewing an existing membership from a different country. Edit: I meant I haven't seen anyone renew/convert an existing unexpired AU membership into an Asian...

What's the dealio with QFF points from JetStar?

I haven't had any problems. No more than a week for me.

Qantas adds Brisbane-Manila but suspends Sydney-Shanghai flights

SQ says they're adding a 5th daily flight to MNL. I wonder where they're getting the slot from.

All Accor nights - something isn't adding up?

There's a new auto claim function. When I used it I got the points after 3 hours and no need for an invoice.

I want to go to SIN in December. When should I book for the best fares?

First half of December - wait for a sale. Second half of December - price is likely to just keep going up.

Are the days of Points collecting over?

I remember the days when I would ask family members to pay their bills through my credit card so I get the points. These days it's hardly even worth putting my own expenses through the credit card.

Are the days of Points collecting over?

It's just a hobby now that you do because you enjoy doing it.
