This sounds contradictory to me. A bit like saying you will stay with your partner but really wanting to be with someone else.

LTG is nothing more than a trophy. I don't think many AFF people want LTG for its benefits. I think that's why many are upset with the LTP criteria, not so much because they can't get Platinum benefits but more so because the LTP trophy is difficult to get.

Sounds like a case of travelling too much so the experience is getting repetitive and boring. Maybe trying new airlines and new lounges might make the experience fresh and new again?

If there was a QF First lounge equivalent I think people would do it.

I got caught out by this. I thought the change was only for 2 hours so I accepted their $110 offer. It was only afterwards that I realized it was for the next day! I quickly got on chat and asked for my old flight back. Lucky they let me get it back because flights on my original travel date...

It'll cost 260,200 points from August 5. Either way, if there are classic rewards available on your date of choice then that's great. It is not the case for the majority of people.

There's a new auto claim function. When I used it I got the points after 3 hours and no need for an invoice.

First half of December - wait for a sale. Second half of December - price is likely to just keep going up.

I remember the days when I would ask family members to pay their bills through my credit card so I get the points. These days it's hardly even worth putting my own expenses through the credit card.
