Rarely it is many times. Quite often the flex Y costs more than the J seat. So by that account maybe they should be entitled to use the loo too. Just don’t give VA that idea.

Stayed at Mercure in Orange (rates above $240 per night) and my welcome amenity as a gold was a lovely wrapped Mercure Soap bar, sewing kit and single use shoe cleaner pad. Two of which items were in the room anyway...

Disagree there - if we count NZ as quasi-domestic, there are about 40 QF WPs that acheive it via domestic travel where I work ! Some have never been overseas before for business or pleasure. I even acheived Plat1 on all domestic Y one year, so I am sure there are plenty at VA who do the same.

I think this is what the whole exercise is- you spend the money with us you get rewarded. Simple. Multileg regional J discount flights with family pooling travellers (who let’s face were big braggers on here) have just been given their marching orders to the Jetstar waiting area it appears.

Looks like every Australian and their dog will have status with VA soon. It is almost too easy to obtain with family pooling, constant promotions, status matches and lower qualifications levels and more status credits earned on flights. A no brainer for a moderate level flyer to get perks...
