Interested on taking advantage of this Off-set to qualify for spend on Qantas product. Don't quite understand this, does it mean I have to had taken a flight to offset against this flight?

There are two aspects that the banks/credit card issuers hit you. One is the declared fees and other is actual exchange rate. You will find Bankwest exchange rates are far inferior! While Citibank and 28 Degree vary much give the official mid-rates to the minute.

Had no trouble/delay etc, virtually walked straight thru. Absolute waste of money using "fast track service".

I agree with you, have now conditioned ourselves to travel with carry-on only. With a place like Bali of warm weather, hardly needs much clothes anyway. We've been on 7 weeks trip round the world with carry-on only. Often look at the crowd waiting for luggage, felt sorry for them, but then...

We are planning an 280k Award trip and had originally earmarked Lima from LA. Earlier checks showing plenty of J seats availability, BA site often showing multiple seats on most dates. Then as we are ready to book close to first release date, all these seats disappeared. Not sure because...

Just returned from a trip to Bali. Situation greatly improved, virtually no hold-up, a steady walk right through to exit without any interruption as far as our flight is concern, arriving close to midnight from Perth.
