    Overseas Spending Money Strategies

There are two aspects that the banks/credit card issuers hit you. One is the declared fees and other is actual exchange rate. You will find Bankwest exchange rates are far inferior! While Citibank and 28 Degree vary much give the official mid-rates to the minute.

DPS arrival express / concierge / fast-track service?

Had no trouble/delay etc, virtually walked straight thru. Absolute waste of money using "fast track service".

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread Does anyone have experience with S7 award booking? Tried to book even on first day of release - 330 days ahead. The consultant said she can see the seats, but won't let her to book it, etc. Then, perhaps is because I have...

re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread Fairly stiff fees. I have been booking our trip in a number of steps since don't want to miss out with my low status, booking as soon as seats are released. Each time adding a leg, costing us another lot of points!

Thanks to both of you for the positive feedback. Looking forward to Mexico, sounds far more exciting than Lima, climbing all over the mountain :) to see some ruins!

DPS arrival express / concierge / fast-track service?

I agree with you, have now conditioned ourselves to travel with carry-on only. With a place like Bali of warm weather, hardly needs much clothes anyway. We've been on 7 weeks trip round the world with carry-on only. Often look at the crowd waiting for luggage, felt sorry for them, but then...

Karen That's a great help, thanks so much. Possibly follow your footstep for each of your outing, suits us down to the Tee. And interesting coincidence, we joined AFF about the same time too. Eddie

    Mexico City

We are planning an 280k Award trip and had originally earmarked Lima from LA. Earlier checks showing plenty of J seats availability, BA site often showing multiple seats on most dates. Then as we are ready to book close to first release date, all these seats disappeared. Not sure because...

DPS arrival express / concierge / fast-track service?

Just returned from a trip to Bali. Situation greatly improved, virtually no hold-up, a steady walk right through to exit without any interruption as far as our flight is concern, arriving close to midnight from Perth.

Mexico City and a Caribbean cruise

Hi Karen We are thinking of heading to Mexico City as second prize to Lima, which was our original destination from LAX. Earlier planning our trip there appears to be plenty of award seats on this route, now time to book, nothing at all for my low status! So changed our plan to Mexico, but...

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo I am confused. Are there two different ANZ Black 75,000 pts offers going on at the same time? The one I logged onto mentions only conversion to Velocity or Krisflyer points.
