From my memory, someone posted a while back that the flight had to be booked within 6 months. So really you could use it for a flight 18 months away.

Flying to Vancouver in Feb 2011. 777 is SYD>AKL>SFO>VYR and 747 is SYD>AKL>VYR. I want to fly J and not sure which plane. I prefer not to go through the US but would do it if the 777 was worth it compared to 747. Any help appreciated.
