    Virgin Atlantic TV commercial

As a pom myself I like VS and it's my choice of carrier in J SYD to LHR. VS is an airline that doesn't take itself too seriously. It has some great concepts - the cowshed at the Club House with haircuts, shaves and manicures. Jacuzzi and dinner in the restaurant perhaps with a game of pool...

    Pick up service

Actually as a regular VS flyer in Upper Class you only get the limo on J class fare buckets. The price difference between a J fare and a Z fare is usually $4,000AUD on LHR to SYD. The difference in service ? A limo. I opt to phone Amex platinum and spend $200AUD on a decent limo myself...

Which is the best Airline to fly to Europe with.

I fly BNE to LHR three times a year at least and am fortunate enough to fly J or F. My choice in F is Emirates. Proper suites, limo service and good connections. My choice in J is Virgin Atlantic to LHR . Decent beds and the club house in London and other check in facilities are great. If...

AMEX Centurion - I can't decide whether to accept...

I have held an Amex charge card since 1990 and transferred to three different world offices in that time before I ended up in Australia. I can honestly say that the benefits of Centurion in Australia are perhaps the worst worldwide and represent poor value for money over a Platinum. First...

Priority Pass in MEL - Virgin Blue and REX flights only

I use my PP also in Brisbane from time to time and never get asked anything. Last time I signed my wife in as my guest. I wasn't even flying, just fancied some breakfast with her before her flight. I must admit were it not for the fact that PP comes free with an Amex Platinum Card I would...

    Noise cancelling headphones

Perhaps one the joys of flying Air NZ. IFE is on from gate to gate and you can happily have your headset on the entire time during take off and landing.

    horror experience with emirates

I've only flown EK F about 4 times but always found them to be very good. Admittedly a lot of the fleet is tired now (the new suites are awesome), but never had any complaints. The fares are usually keen and the service is usually good. I wouldn't say they are outstanding but I think thats the...

Air NZ Lounge & couple of questions BNE-AKL-LAX

Thanks for the info. I did email Air NZ some days ago with the query and have just heard from them in fact on the subject of guesting :- Dear xx_, Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we do not have day passes for Brisbane. As a business class traveller you are entitled to take a guest...

    Hotel nr London Heathrow

At heathrow the cabs are used to short runs inter terminal and to the Hilton. You won't have any dramas. I was based in London for years and as much as I hate LHR the Hilton there is actually very good and I'm not a huge fan of Hiltons generally.

Air NZ Lounge & couple of questions BNE-AKL-LAX

Hey all. Long time reader but first time poster. I generally travel Asian and Euro routes out of BNE so hold Kris Flyer. Never fly Qantas as I most of my routes are international and SQ is normally my chosen airline for the connections I need. However, I find myself next week needing to be...
