Been wondering this myself. Having recently achieved Platinum, should I continue for another 500 credits to gift my partner gold (they are currently gold), or just allocate them as beneficiary to our family pooling where they will re-qualify after only 400 credits?

I've also noticed the award seats become available when your only looking a week or two ahead. Maybe there's a magic number at the other end?

Just redeemed my last 75,000 points. A FASA from LHR-DXB early next year on QF2, not enough points to get all the way home, so looks I'll be saving up for a classic award DXB-BNE. 90% to lifetime gold now, so that was the main incentive! I'll miss my mASAs :(

Trying to book a MASA to Europe for Feb. Qantas website shows classic seat availability with all flights on EK ex BNE. When I phoned the call center they mentioned that MASAs need to be on a QF operated flight (QF metal). Was not ware of this, anyone else had similar experiences??

Seems when you use the slider all the way to the left it's more than just taxes you're paying with this particular JASA.:shock: Same fare booked as a classic was $395.92 in taxes.

Hi all, I've read somewhere that WPs often get allocated a skybed seat on this segment. Does anyone have experience with this? I am WP and looking to book a PE return but was unsure whether the seat can be chosen at time of booking or is something that happens at check in. Appreciate any help...

I've asked my TA for a copy of the fare conditions. It was a deal BA had out late last year that was PE on the outward journey and J class on the return. Fare was $5,000 and included a side trip to Europe. It was good value... but not now. :(
