    Qantas First Lounge in Singapore

I’m honestly still yet to be wowed in SIN. Had good experiences in all others but feel SIN still is a bit generic. I know it’s tough but any tips on how best to enjoy SIN. Never really felt any P1 love

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Lots of salmon on my golden triangle flights of late but not complaining. Is it just me or have regular J dom flyers noticed an observable trend of increased personalisation and genuine effort to make the flying experience more enjoyable onboard?

Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Because they are decision makers in firms I have a business relationship with. Actually scrap my comment I can see it’s not going to be particularly fruitful asking in this forum.

Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

I’ve had a few ASX20 CEOs of late onboard around me doing the earnings circuit. Not wanting to hijack the thread, but for those out there engaging with these businesses what’s your approach to casual engagements in situations like onboard? I’ve struck up conversations with CEOs, CIOs, chairs...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Yes , theoretically but I’ve also seen just one and then refills have been a lot slower so would caveat. Hopefully they now have 2 dedicated J FAs and the rest of the crew supporting after the Y service. In row 1 there really isn’t much difference but may be quicker in row 2 and beyond.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

There are usually 2 in the cabin from my experience. They have served in different variations but most recently one would do row 1, other serve row 2 simultaneously then who knows what goes on behind row 1

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

QF still seem to board group 1&2 together in some ports at some times but at least on recent golden triangles including today group 1 was called first. We all got there on time today which followed an engineering delay and a diversion

The ploughman plate has definitely gone through a few different variations over the last 18months. The latest version isn’t the greatest tbh. Preferred when they first brought it out The sausage roll on refreshment service was decent

Your 2025 year of travel in review

Some interesting comments above…you seem to think work travel is easy. Try spending over 100-150 days a year away. Sorry to take off course but it really offends me when people have a crack at work funded travellers. We sacrifice a lot and this forum is supposed to be a safe space for like...

Your 2025 year of travel in review

This is always my favourite thread all year I look forward to. I’m back out on the road for the year so grabbing a bite in Brisbane thoroughly enjoying everyone’s posts and hoping to get around to posting mine tomorrow. Was a quieter year at 86 flights but appreciate everyone’s efforts to post...

Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

    QF Platinum Recognition on flights

Did QF operated by Finnair J recently and got the usual greetings but thought they had a nice touch at the end to ask if there was anything the Purser aka CSM wanted to feedback That would be a nice addition to QF to actually take down any service issues or recommendations.

    QF Platinum Recognition on flights

I had my first Y international in a while this week and had great service on QF. Looked after well straight away with a little wine tasting from the very front of the plane done very discretely. Some of the best service I’ve had has been in Y which is exactly when you need it and appreciate it...

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

Secured a J Oz-HKG a few weeks out. Did require going to the bot but could see I and D so thought I had a reasonable chance

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Who knows…I tried to upload the accompanying pic but took too long from where I was having dinner in BNE yesterday Did BNE MEL this evening and posting from somewhere with better signal. Quite enjoyed the beef on today’s dinner service operated by QFlink - never had any issues on QFlink A220...

Some recent TT meals Got a menu on outbound. I don’t do TT often but haven’t noticed in the past and didn’t get one on the return. I was on the last flight back to SYD so got to see when EK bought out the food and drink for their departure at 9pm. Im a big EK fan and it was really high quality...

    QF Platinum Recognition on flights

QF Y international I think is reasonable to expect a greeting. Back when I did fly Y it was fairly consistent and is really when you need it the most. Have had a few glasses of red from F when at the front of Y on an A380 to J red on 330s and PJs and cheese plates. No recent data points CX and...

Spice bar at Melbourne Qantas Domestic Business Lounge

Chicken was so much better today than last week. They coated in something so had a little bit of crispness and felt much better quality. Definitely not Sichuan spicy level. No chilli this week but I added some Sriracha sauce and condiments.

    Qantas' New A321XLR

Had my first 321 experience today. I was on a later flight which got shafted but managed to move ahead to an earlier which meant a very rushed departure from the office but managed to keep my signature seat. This meant I got to witness the crew trying to figure out where everything was guided by...
