    Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

Seems like if you book after 1st March and your flights is still not operating, flexibility terms may not be on your side, you are gambling with Qantas here.

    Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

It looks like most premium seats out of Australia over the next couple of days are gone, except going through China. Even SE Asia is a difficulty, potentially due to rerouting from ME3.

    Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

If you were travelling on EK417/413 or QR909 on 28 Feb, it is almost impossible for you to be booked onto another flight and avoid staying in Sydney overnight, regardless your destination is not in the Middle East or not. It is simply because of Sydney curfew, and the conflict broke out just...

    Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

It appears airlines were unable to find accommodation for stranded passengers in Sydney due to a major event and they are sleeping at Sydney T1 overnight as the result: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-03-01/middle-east-flight-cancellations-stranded-travellers/106402776

    Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

May I ask if any passengers on the diverted VA1/QR8400 - 28 Feb managed to get back to Sydney or they are still stranded in Melbourne?

    Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

Going through mainland China avoids most of the troubled airspace, and you can avoid the fuss of clearing immigration and re check going through the US. Plus you get better food and even free hotel stay! Of course going thru Canada would be another great option apart from potential snowstorm.

Or the Middle East in general. I would encourage people to change at Africa for Middle East, and change at Mainland China for Europe.

    Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

It appears that QF8765 and QF8766 (EK412/413) to Christchurch are operating despite closure of DXB. It appears they might terminate at Sydney for the next few days. All DXB services are not operating today. I hope all passengers are redirected onto China Eastern and China Southern if they are...

    Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

Perhaps they can be rebooked on other airlines to their destination? If they are going to Europe, they can go via China instead?

Should Jetstar refit its A321LR fleet and install Business Class for Asian offerings?

I actually wonder where airline seats are manufactured? Can't they be made in China to make sure they are done faster?

Qantas unveils the biggest changes to status in program history

I suppose they can do things like extra points for Qantas Hotels for Gold and Platinum flyers? And perhaps $100 Qantas hotel voucher for every 200 SC earned? One thing I was not sure is I booked through Viator and never got Qantas points, so how can they partner to earn SCs for experiences...

Qantas unveils the biggest changes to status in program history

Was it really never having reward seat availability for the points you did manage to accumulate? I can leave Australia for Asia this weekend on Business Class on points, and Qantas reward seats were readily available for trans-Atlantic, intra-Europe and Asia services. Perhaps they should...

Should Jetstar refit its A321LR fleet and install Business Class for Asian offerings?

In today's Qantas Financial Report, we can expect there will be no A321XLR coming for JQ until at least after FY27. Meanwhile, its A321LR fleet, which has a range of 7400km, can go for routes such as BNE/CNS-NRT/KIX (up to 7116km), SYD/BNE-HKT/SGN (up to 7259km) and MEL-SIN (6024km). I actually...

    QF Cabin Crew Singapore Base

That happened to my recent journeys on Business Class: 1. I adhered to the Business Class carry on limit and they shouted me of you need to put one of the bags under you seat (when it is lie flat Business) 2. There was absolutely no courtesy towards Business Class passengers and seems like they...
