Lets talk about the 787 windows

I’ve noticed a positive correlation between the proactiveness of crews and whether windows are kept unlocked during 787 flights… May I express my deepest apologises for being that avid glowing bookworm throughout my travels 😆

Death of the in flight magazine

That's why they generally have a message to pax telling us to take the magazines away if we've enjoyed that section. You'd think most people who complete crosswords are active readers... 👍👍Exactly what people should be doing. Trust me you are doing a favour for the lounge staff and cleaners -...

Optus Outage - How is it affecting you?

When you think about it, for a company that loves espousing the idea of 'yes', you’d think they would find it in them to say 'yes' to compensation… Seriously every customer should have received at least a one monthly bill refund/credit for all of their services, that would’ve done a lot more...

Optus Outage - How is it affecting you?

Optus is terrible for the most part - mobile coverage issues aside, their website for log in/billing is always so slow and buggy and the app horrendous (but I guess after recent updates the Telstra app is not much better). Allegations from Whirlpool suggest the cost cutting from the SingTel...

AFF Review: Cathay Pacific A350 Premium Economy (HKG-SYD)

It always has been pretty mediocre, looks like not much has changed really since the launch in 2012. I feel the concept of W/PE is a ripoff in general.

    Sydney Airport- A National Disgrace

Ah, in that case the service availability of the AirTrain definitely could be better than the school night timing of the last trains.

Article: I Nearly Missed My Flight And Forgot How to Navigate an Airport

Same, and for a new airport, there often is a new lounge to relax in! I also try to arrive earlier at airports that I haven't passed through in a while or research and refresh my memory of the terminal layout, connecting transport locations etc, especially if the trip scheduling is tight, with...

    Sydney Airport- A National Disgrace

Know the feeling, have had some close calls last year barely making the second last or last Skybus service heading into town when flying those late afternoon PER-MEL flights. Really? I remember at launch the service was only two hourly and fare not much different from the AirTrain which is more...

Article: How Vodafone’s $5 Global Roaming Compares to Optus & Telstra

I remember more than 5 or so years ago Telstra used to include international roaming in some higher end postpaid plans, with unlimited calls/texts and a monthly data allowance. Was great value for long/ frequent Int. trips. Wish they brought back plans with such inclusions, paying $10 a day per...

    Sydney Airport- A National Disgrace

Agreed, those touts are especially prevalent in Int. arrivals, what a terrible first impression for tourists. MEL T2 is absolutely disgusting, all that’s missing are the black lights 🤮 At least PER and BNE have them, better than the current MEL sitch. Miss the 24 hour Skybus services, when will...

Choice Fares - No more free changes > 14 days [Bookings from 1st Sep]

No doubt those bean counters have been at it, what a shame was nice whilst it lasted I guess

Intoxicated and aggressive Business Class Passenger - JETSTAR

The bane of reclining seats continue… this time only jerkier, less nutgate and more winegate. But in all seriousness the behaviour of the gent 2C towards the wife is incredibly childish and unwarranted, who does he think he is? Martha from Married at First Sight? Methinks he spilled it over...

Unknown catering on MH from 1 Sep onwards (caterer "transition")

Agreed, what a freakin' joke! Reminds me of the VA Fantastic noodles saga, but that was almost understandable given the airline was under administration. No excuses for MH, this fiasco wouldn't fly at SQ!

    14hr transit in Hong Kong

Yes you can leave Yes you can leave even after passing transit security, have done this pre Covid. I usually approach the Cathay service desk on level 6 in the east hall near the exit from E1/E2 transit security and ask to leave. Ground staff usually escort you down to arrivals immigration if...

QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

Methinks there are a lot of people in this world that have an ax to grind with QF, for so many reasons

Qatar denied extra capacity into Australia

As many have said, the power of the CL seem to know no bounds! Once glance at Catherine King's boarding pass (she was behind me in the queue boarding for a recent flight) says it all. Should've thanked her for getting QR to bring the A380s down under!

Qantas Domestic Lounges from 15/06/23 Guests Must be Travelling on Qantas/Partner Airline

Yeah it can get same same, but this benefit allowed for a ritual that will be dearly missed, it was practically our family Sunday dinner! The parking never bothered us, baggage can keep spinning round, right’ round on the carousel.. it’s always somewhere there when we go down, when we go down...

Qantas Domestic Lounges from 15/06/23 Guests Must be Travelling on Qantas/Partner Airline

That‘s what expense accounts are for right? 😂 I guess I‘ve been blessed with relatively quick and easy PT access to the airports I spend the most time with family and friends.

Qantas Domestic Lounges from 15/06/23 Guests Must be Travelling on Qantas/Partner Airline

Am planning to do so. I could understand if they were to restrict this benefit during peak hours when lounges are fairly crowded for other members comfort. But the vast majority of my flights depart in off-peak times when the lounges are not crowded, so find it very disappointing.
