I agree ..however it still strikes me as very bizarre that one elite...who maybe flying, can turn up at the lounge with up to 5 "non flying guests" and simply have them join them for a drink or whatever and then say goodbye to mummy/daddy and go home. It is frankly ridiculous. Still find it odd...

Try booking biz. Often the VA codeshare is hideous compared to the SQ.

I was also thinking of a quick visit to Manila as never been. JQ have a direct from PER around 800 dollars return. PR has a direct at around 900 dollars. Looking at biz fares and even with via a one stop shop...it's over 4K!! 🤭.

Good question. But if booked separately, surely it will be the two sets of points/credits? If booked as one PNR...what does the blurb say regarding the points/credits provided? I'm sure I had seen previously 125 SC for APW to SYD before.

I've maintained a BA Amex card for over 20 years when in UK for Avios and continued to maintain it when I moved to Australia 5 years ago. Recently Amex have asked me for "know your customer details" This also includes evidence of home address in UK and salary....albeit I am now retired from work...

Personally I am happy enough to revert to one world ops when at Bali and route Bali-Europe-Bali with one world on a cheaper biz fare. I would be grateful however with the added bonus of flying VA between PER and Bali and grabbing some status credit and points on that route as my "feeder" and...

This to me is a winner...and why I was so mad at VA not executing properly their "thoughts" of PER-DPS. Onward connections at good cost. .and a couple of days in Bali on the return.

The older config. With the divider definitely gives appearance and feel of more leg room . The middle seats are not great but window and aisle are ok although I have experienced middle pax leg spread unfortunately on the new. As plat and if in Y, I still think window and aisle ok for row 3 but...

The middle seats in Row 3 on the newer ones are pretty pants. I would not give them any money for that seat!!
