Will you still earn/retain Velocity status beyond 2025?

I guess the cynic in me says why set renewal levels when you are willing to have them bought (in this case for points). Meet the levels then move on. Don't then so be it. VA perhaps have made a mistake dunno....but one wonders if they will ever revert...or ease the requirements. 🤔

Flying OneWorld around Europe [credit to QF]

Still preferable than doing multiple transits at SYD imho!! 🤔🫣

Flying OneWorld around Europe [credit to QF]

It all needs to be put into perspective. Often BA flights even in biz are very reasonable in cost despite the higher airport tax. Also if you are transiting Heathrow with one PNR you don't get hit twice with the tax.

Plane and crew by Jettime A/S for Finnair

Yeah Jettime it's basically AY but in a 737 800 most likely...(Aircraft that AY do not actually flying)....spare middle seat in biz and 3-3 down the back. All chosen OW FF programme remain as if flying AY. Nordic (Norra) is operated for AY regionally ..usually ATR72 family or Embraer jet.

Taking it? It's only a bit more than a standard one way biz points cost.

Is Air New Zealand taking the Dreamliner off the Perth-Auckland route again?

Just returned on ANZ PER-AKL-PER. Both flights on former Cathay 777 that seems to be pretty steady on the route at the moment. I liked it because the seating was the more "conventual" arrangement. Incidentally. The service received was top notch both ways.

    Refused Drink Service on Qantas

Meanwhile on a 50 minute BA flight ....yes I think Australia is getting worse as a nanny state. Also I agree with earlier post about MH and the seat belt sign being on ....worse than SQ. 🫣..and all this not before noon in Aussie. Seriously!!

Bonus Velocity Status Credits for VA flights - Book & fly between 12 January and 31 March 2026

To be fair..I was probably outbid by a dog on my MEL-PER sector the other day. Yep it was in 2F. Okay maybe the handler in 2D had bought two seats (that would have been probably rather expensive) but the dog was rather the star .. obedient and quiet. It was on the floor. I sat in 3A... jealous!🤣🤣🫣

    Europe car hire.

Yes I believe they know who you have actually booked through (finally). Also have you looked at Holiday Autos? Sometimes they do good one ways etc. Yeah they are charging for everything. I've now booked through Sixt. Much more transparent, can take car on ferries in the western islands of...

Will you still earn/retain Velocity status beyond 2025?

I've managed to retain Plat now relatively easily, and I had up to May 26 to do so. Without doubt using partner airlines even with the caveat especially equally from Perth is a good way to go. Both Singapore with SQ flight number, and Air NewZealand with VA flight numbers work pretty well in...
