Do you still get the bonus points when doing Global Transfer? What other evidence did they request? I'll probably ditch it after I've used the first pair of 100 quid credits (in and out of UK) and the bonus points are through as I read UK Amex gives pro rata refunds.

They won't necessarily go anywhere. They don't need a similar card. After a certain point the annual fee becomes less and less worth it as does using the card for transactions. If it was this easy for them to devalue in quick succession then we would've seen them devalue a lot more a long time...

AUD-USD has been trending in the same range for the last three years. Sure it's less than historical levels but we haven't seen a sudden decline. I doubt Amex can sustain another round of devals any time soon without getting lots of people ditching their cards.

Looking out to Oct/Nov 2026 (ie when the calendar opens up) the only SQ J availability on Aeroplan out of East coast Australia (SYD/MEL/BNE/ADL) to SIN is SQ248 from MEL. Leavings 0555/0655 from MEL and arrives 1145. A number of days there's availability on Velocity out of BNE/ADL but not on...

Think this is very likely indirectly linked to the planned RBA changes. Points landscape is getting horribly devalued here. Not sure we will see anything but a token gesture somewhere else. Amex is probably going to reduce what it charges businesses so it needs to balance it out somewhere.

It'd be a weird way to restrict it though. The seats are available, just not in certain combinations. Still seems to be a booking engine issue.

Booked MEL - NAN - DFW on FJ in business with QF points a couple of weeks back, will arrive on opening day. There's decent availability on this route but the DFW plane doesnt run every day. You may need to use multi city. Also booked SEA - SIN - MEL in Singapore business with KF points.

Australia still has relatively good CC rewards to be honest, worse than USA but this will take it down to European levels. 30k bonuses for CC sign ups maybe? Wonder what the knock on effect on QFF will be?

24th March isn't long before Easter. Wouldn't be surprised if availability drops off around the Easter holidays
