There is not one that will go to "Any" but a number that will go to "Many". In my view Amex Platinum is the best as it does both Qantas and Velocity....... and then many others - including the ones you mentioned Kris, Singapore, Cathay. Not many/any other card options to get Qantas in the list...

Agree...... and I would also say, even if you were actually in transit, as the ETSA is for 2 years, I would be inclined to tick no to the transit question as you can't change that selection for a future trip (under the same ETSA application).......... not sure if anyone has ever has experience...

Ahh yes, agree, good summary...... I only travel with cabin baggage, so that is where my head was at (noting the OP was actually talking about checked baggage)...... and that (as far as I am aware) does not work exactly the same as checked baggage, as each airline can restrict what you can carry on.
