Yes that sounds perfectly reasonable to me. My comment was about the people who fly there to immediately fly back on the same aircraft and don’t even book a 1 night hotel in the destination.

I had a similar experience too on that flight. On BA I’ve sometimes had to plead with them to stop topping up my glass! Usually I just say sorry I’m driving when we land, but their response to that is something like “oh don’t worry that’s still a few hours away”…
