I originally booked SYD-SCL and then later added SCL to EZE to my booking by calling QF. So can be done. Will just cost the additional change fee v doing it all at once.

It could very well happen as they announced. But airlines plans change all the time and we don't know the impact on Perth yields and return on investment once SYD/MEL go direct to LHR

Award availability shouldn't be an issue if it's a QF change and generally their commerical policies are in line with that.

It isn't an alternative if SYD-ICN was part of your Oneworld award. I don't recall another time when QF has pulled out of a market and they haven't offered other alternatives (other than Jetstar or leave it).
