Surprisingly maybe not? If you look at Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026 you can see whilst there's a pile of paid seats available, most aren't available for purchase by the Bronze customer. Of course it's possible that more seats will appear once the visible ones are purchased, but I'm not...

To clarify; this was booked separately from your international flight AND you have no OneWorld status? Have you tried booking into domestic first? It may be cheaper than 30,000 yen and gives you 45kg.

Wow, Qantas IT actually made a very positive enhancement here. I suspect it won't work for complex tickets but it's still good that the change fee for using the credit is put upfront, since previously I recall there was no warning about that.

To be fair to Qantas, they offered to move me to an earlier 737 flight to bypass the delay, however I declined since I wanted to ride the A220.

Just flew on the 1 week old VH-X4J. Love the massive windows and the new J seat, don't love the always delayed last A220 flight of the day. Got a tour of the flight deck afterwards too which is always fun :) Interesting to see they have HUDs, do we know if Qantas optioned them on the A321XLRs?
