Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

As a selfish WP (DYKWIA?), I would prefer it's charged just high enough so it doesn't sell out every flight. I'll eat my words when I fall to SG/PS though.

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

I've thought about this, but I think in reality the difference will be minor. It's likely the majority of Y+ seats will be taken by those who have Group 1 and 2 boarding anyway. I do wonder if Y+ was taken into account when they decided on the boarding groups, seems like it could've been an...

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

    I don't believe Dash 8 or E190 are in scope for Y+

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

Has anyone been able to confirm yet that PS and NB still have to pay for available Y+ seats after check-in? This appears to be the case from what I've seen.

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

I've enjoyed plenty of T-80 shenanigans, but overall I prefer that the changes make the experience slightly better for frequent flyers.

Selecting seats on Finnair reward booking

Yes, it's a great benefit of the CR booking. We had an infant and were able to select the bulkhead bassinet seats in J immediately after booking. The larger footwells were great.

Special meal quality for QF First

We didn't have the best special meal experience in F on QF1 last year. MrsFletty is unable to have dairy currently due to our son's CMPA. We put in for the special meal which was dairy (or lactose, can't remember exactly) free. They loaded it, and it was fine, but then the FA said the caviar...

Virgin Australia UpgradeMe pricing and success

$135 is pretty decent for a 3hr flight in whY these days, let alone J.

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

$100 is steep for row 4, hopefully keeps it quiet for P1s. I'm keen to see if shadows are much of a thing in Y+ or if they'll prefer to sell the seat, and keep shadows for the rear cabin.

When is Discount Economy not Discount Economy ?

@burneracc made a handy tool to help with these situations: I built a free tool that calculates qantas earn rate on oneworld flights

    Brisbane Airport upgrade

We parked at the terminal and flew HLO on the weekend. Walking out of the car park into the same level security checkpoint was very quick and convenient.

I had a look at some upcoming bookings: 737 - WP can select row 5 onwards for free A220 - WP still charged to select Y+ A321XLR - WP can select row 6 onwards for free Row 5 and 6 appear to be blocked for NB on the 737.

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

Just as an FYI, the current 25% off domestic Y CR applies to release requests. Had 2 pax approved for BNE-MEL return for the QLD long weekend in May. The times I wanted (no more 6am/9pm flights with an infant 😅) were $300 each way so it made for good value.
