If a seat is marked broken at check-in, it will be allocated to standby staff, and commercial pax will be moved to another seat. The fact someone was seating there is not malicious. Staff often get moved around into broken seats, including mid flight. It’s unfortunate that it happened to you...

In recent experience, how soon does the email with the GT reward arrive after the last leaf completion? A friend “just realised” (🤦‍♂️) he is short 50 SCs (membership anniversary 30 June) and I’m not sure if he will have enough time - T&Cs state 21 days. Has anyone got it sooner?

I was on a delayed QF11 once due to … a need to change a wheel tire, so one can try 🤣 Also, immigration can take longer than an hour depending when QF11 lands in LAX. I would look for a fully refundable ticket on AS later if available, while keeping the existing bookings.
