It'll probably be cheaper to do points return for one person and buy a return ticket for the other, rather than buying 2x J fares to Australia. Book the revenue fare after you find and book the departure and return one-way flights for the other person.

The FF points used to purchase any flights need to have been earned on the Citi card though, but yes, Citi insurance eligibility is more lenient than others, for example Amex.

From what I remember the limit is 24 hours, anything over that is considered a stopover and not transit. Most likely you'll need to collect your bags but if you want to be sure just call up Singapore to find out.

I put through the order anyway so we'll see. From what I've read the invoice for the order will be visible in your main Langton's account so if anything I'll use that to lodge an enquiry for the missing cashback. There's no T&C's stating that Langton's private sales are excluded.
