If you need to apply for a visa, you need to make a booking at the US consulate, travel there yourself, and have an interview. So, what is the actual question that is being asked of you with regard to getting an ESTA? This will determine what’s you need to do.

Nothing fancy about the Concordia lounge in DPS. Quite often the aircon is not working properly. Twice now we’ve left and just gone to the gate for an hour or two instead of staying in there.

As you’d need to claim your baggage anyway, I’d grab my bag, do the passport control / immigration thing, and then just jump on the AC flight. I’m assuming however that this is a one way ticket, and there are no further legs on this booking.
