For max comfort and probably not too much more $$ I’d do a day flight to Asia, say Singapore in economy return from Brisbane, then a separate ticket Singapore to London in business. It does mean it would be a 2 stop journey however, but much more comfortable overall.

Unsure which way to turn here. We got EK First (A class) flights MEL DXB LHR // CDG DXB SIN MEL coming up this Friday. We’ve got no status on EK at all, and don’t really care as we travel in business or first anyway. I’m thinking the better option may be to credit to Aeroplan instead of Skywards...
