Yes, been lucky and had all waitlists cleared. Years ago I used to call and ask whether they were likely to clear. I don't think you can do that anymore.

Misunderstanding, I was thinking they couldn't book even though it had the right coding. Good it booked for you and glad to know it works - I'm a bit cynical when it comes to qantas having had some past unnecessary complications.

See post #12. I think they're trying to book and it's coming up with an error code despite the AS code. That's what I read, maybe have it wrong, been out and about today.

That's not good, perhaps the tech hasn't caught up with the new booking/coding requirements

Thanks, good to know. I've only ever flown United and a forgettable domestic or two props. I was under the impression Alaska was better than the others.
